The wind is howling around our home. Molly keeps nearby me; I think because she hears strange noises outside. Dale will be coming home soon now, and about this time of day, Molly is alert to the autos that drive by. There are times when I know she feels secure being near me, and right … Continue reading Be The Best Of Whatever You Are | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 27, 2020

Poetry | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 18, 2020
Do you like poetry? Do you enjoy reciting poems? One of the too many to count reasons that I am grateful to my mother and father is their emphatic statement that I would graduate from a college. Not only did they insist that I attend college, they paid for my education by sacrificing many of … Continue reading Poetry | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 18, 2020
Boats | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 12, 2020
There is a lot to talk about on our walk today. It is five-fifteen in the evening, the sky is cloudy, and a storm is predicted for tomorrow. Dale’s commute to Franklin Pierce College is a little over an hour, and so I hope that the weather tomorrow will not be severe. New Hampshire’s roads … Continue reading Boats | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 12, 2020
Laughter | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 5, 2020
Do you ever find it difficult to get out of bed in the morning? Are there some mornings this cold time of yearwhen you would like to just pull the covers over your head and stay in your bed, nice and warm and comfortable? To not wish to get out of bed in the morning is not … Continue reading Laughter | Walk With Ken Boyle – February 5, 2020
Windows | Walk With Ken Boyle – January 28, 2020
It is a cloudy noontime here in Hopkinton. The temperature is thirty- four degrees. My friend Molly is not under my desk as she is at daycare. I miss her on Tuesdays and Fridays as I take her to Peace and Paws to play with her friends, Max, Ellie-Rose, Spryte and Jerome. Uncle Joe | Walk With Ken Boyle, January 2, 2020
It has been too long since we went on a walk together, but in this New Year, I hope to walk with you each and every week. I’ve missed walking with you, but it seems that life just caught up with me and my schedule; although retired, it has been more complicated than I thought … Continue reading Uncle Joe | Walk With Ken Boyle, January 2, 2020
Christmas Letter 2019 – Walk With Ken Boyle XCI
How memories come alive at Christmas time. One of my favorite pastimes this time of year is to listen to old time radio. As a family, when I was growing up, we would listen on Sunday evenings to the Jack Benny Show and The Great Gildersleeve. After all, we did not have television as children and to … Continue reading Christmas Letter 2019 – Walk With Ken Boyle XCI
Saint Patrick’s Day – Walk With Ken Boyle LXXXVIII
Good morning. It is nice to have you visit with me on this snowy Sunday. I know I have not walked with you for a while, and it is just that even though I am retired, I do not seem to have enough time to do all the things I wish. Now that I am … Continue reading Saint Patrick’s Day – Walk With Ken Boyle LXXXVIII
A Warm Fire – Walk With Ken Boyle LXXXVI
Comment from Ken: I wish you time to sit by a warm fire and tell stories from the past. Scripture: 7Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. 8But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. 9Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 10Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.” 11Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. 13Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. 14This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead. Good evening. It is a little late for a walk, but when I walked … Continue reading A Warm Fire – Walk With Ken Boyle LXXXVI
I Am Thinking Of You – Walk With Ken Boyle LXXIX
Comment from Ken: Miss you and love you. Almost two years. Scripture: Mark 16:14,15 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” What a beautiful day here in New Hampshire; autumn has truly arrived. It was in the forties when we awoke this morning, and now at two o’clock in the afternoon, it is sixty-five. The sun is … Continue reading I Am Thinking Of You – Walk With Ken Boyle LXXIX
